Shopaholic

"Hail to Thee, Ralph King" continues on schedule.  I had a pretty productive first half of November, creating drafts of all the sets needed for the production.  Below is a smattering of the work completed.

My voice acting roles have been filled and the files are all ready to go.  So now its just a matter of animating and shooting the scenes.  However....

With this being the Black Friday time of year I've gotten caught up in the big Daz sales buying lots of assets for between 70 and 90% off.  Its a lot of fun to load up the characters and clothes and scenes and work to get them into Iclone.  Its also a big time sink as that's about all I've been doing for the last two weeks.   Hopefully the sales are over and I can get my focus back.

Spooky (Redux)

So, as mentioned in my one (!) October post, I managed to enter a short screenplay contest with two different scripts.  The first centered on a missing person in haunted house attraction and contains lots of my own experiences visiting these kinds of places. Its a solid script tied very tightly to Halloween and I might give it a go next year with the goal of hitting an October deadline.

The second script, titled "Hail to Thee, Ralph King", has some horror elements but is not tied to the spooky season.  Logline: "When the founder of a small company dies, a young accountant's first day on the job goes off the rails in a big way".

This script was well received (3 out of 6 first place votes...blows own horn) and feels like a really solid project to move forward with.  Currently creating the characters and sets, brainstorming the scenes and thinking about the voice actors.  Its way too early to say but I'll say it anyway...feels like a potential January - March deadline.

More news as it happens!
