Well I failed to post here in January but rest assured I was busy (that collective sigh of relief is deafening). I managed to stay on schedule on "Hail to Thee" by finishing the second story sequence. Just one more to go and then a whole lot of sound design and maybe we will see a March release.
My early vibe on the results is about how I usually feel around this point of a project. Some things are working. Some things less so but its hard to say till I've got all the sound design in place. Or maybe I just talk myself into thinking its ok by that time. Either way, the project is progressing.
In other news I managed to finish a first draft of the afore mentioned Xmas noir; Gunderson I like it a lot. I know I'll have to get back in there and fix a fair amount of things (like the amount of times a character says "Gunderson" or "Gunny"....gotta cut that down) but I think its a good looking project to turn to after 'Hail To Thee' is complete. It's currently a 12 page script so I'm guessing about 15 minutes in length with a lot of characters, at least 4 major speaking roles, a potential musical performance and a boatload of locations that Ill likely have to create from scratch. Its a big project and if I got started in April I'm going to have to push hard to get it done by November/December. Cause an Xmas noir needs to be released around Xmas.
But first things first.
